Gwenc&#039;hla\u00f1 would be the subject and the author of a gwerz called\u00a0<em>Diougan Gwenc&#039;hlan<\/em>\u00a0(<em>Gwenc&#039;hlan&#039;s prophecy<\/em>). In this text, the bard is imprisoned and has his eyes gouged out for refusing to convert to Christianity.
