It would have coincided with the beginning of the ritual purification of women who would celebrate Thesmophoria.<\/p>\n<p>This may also have been the time when other women, called &quot;the scoops&quot;, would fetch the offerings for the Thesmophoria from the pits into which they were thrown at the Skirophoria.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the text of our social networks:<\/p>\n<p>On this day, the <a href=\"https:\/\/mythslegendes.com\/en\/mythes-et-legendes-grecques-1664\/\">greek<\/a> were celebrating Stenia.
