A speaker discusses the fate of the growing season that has ended. The seated woman removes the leaves. Often corn was roasted or boiled when green or grilled for a light meal. They made very popular meatballs and corn soups, they also prepared \u201c\u00a0<em>pop corn &quot;<\/em> which they placed in ceramic glasses.<\/p>\n\n<p>Illustration by W.
