<strong>Algonquins, Outaouais, Saulteaux, Ojibw\u00e9s, Oji-Cris, Mississaugas, Potawatomis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Anichinabe<\/strong> are a group of indigenous tribes speaking a root of Algonquian languages with a certain similarity. This set includes the Algonquins, the Outaouais, the Saulteaux, the Ojibwe, the Oji-Cree, the Mississaugas and the Potawatomis.<\/p>\n\n<p>The name <em>anichinabe<\/em> means &quot;original people&quot;. According to the Office qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la langue fran\u00e7aise, the spelling <em>anichinabe<\/em> (feminine <em>anichinabe<\/em>) must be preferred in French. In use, the spelling of this word remains however subject to variation. We thus note the forms <em>anichinabe<\/em>, <em>anicinabe<\/em> and <em>anicinape<\/em> in French, as well as the forms <em>anishnaabe<\/em> (borrowed from Anichnab\u00e9),
