que se asentaron en <a href=\"https:\/\/mythslegendes.com\/es\/mythes-et-legendes-hokanes-2062\/\">California<\/a> antes de la llegada de los espa\u00f1oles eran bastante variados, en el sentido de que hab\u00eda unas cien lenguas diferentes. Estos pueblos pod\u00edan ser tanto n\u00f3madas como sedentarios. Viv\u00edan de la caza, la pesca y la recolecci\u00f3n de frutos y bellotas. Entre estos pueblos ind\u00edgenas se destacan los Chumash, quienes se habr\u00edan estimado en unos 8.000 amerindios repartidos.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>los <strong>Chumash<\/strong> son un pueblo nativo americano que vivi\u00f3 principalmente a lo largo de la costa sur de California, alrededor de los pueblos actuales de Santa B\u00e1rbara y Ventura. Tambi\u00e9n ocup\u00f3 las tres islas al norte de las Islas del Canal. Los lugares actuales que tienen or\u00edgenes chumash son: Malibu, Point Mugu, Piru, Lake Castaic y Simi Valley. El territorio de <strong>Salinos <\/strong>extendido sobre los actuales condados de San Luis Obispo, Monterey y posiblemente San Benito, entre el Oc\u00e9ano Pac\u00edfico y el R\u00edo
