The mythology Wintu-Yana brings together the following Amerindian peoples: Wintu, Yana.

the wintu is a Native American language of the Wintuan language family spoken in the United States, in California in the Sacramento Valley and in the mountains along the upper reaches of the Trinity River.

the yana is an isolated language spoken in Northern California. The language was collected at the beginning of the XX^e century by Edward Sapir who worked with the last speaker, Ishi, who died in 1916. The yana is counted as one of the members of the hypothetical group hokan.
