Basque mythology

The mythology Basque (Euskal mitologia) is the set of myths of Basque origin that have come down to us. Belatedly Christianized, the Basques worshiped natural forces such as the sun, the moon, the air, the water, the mountains, the forests, these taking human forms. On the round steles of the Basque cemeteries still often appear the sun, the moon and stars. Some current beliefs could date back to the Paleolithic.
