Harvest

The harvest ceremony is a ceremony organized by women, it was usually held in October, when the agricultural season ended.
The meaning of the ceremony is to thank the spirits for the food with dances and songs. A speaker discusses the fate of the growing season that has ended. They share sweet corn soup.

Between the tall stalks, the women walk, collect the ears of corn and place them on their shoulders in the basket they carry on their backs. The seated woman removes the leaves. Often corn was roasted or boiled when green or grilled for a light meal. They made very popular meatballs and corn soups, they also prepared “ pop corn " which they placed in ceramic glasses.
