The Man and the Devil

A man who was walking with the devil accepts his offer to carry each other on their backs. The rider must sing. When he has finished his song, he will come down and take the other on his back.

The man rides on the devil's back and begins to sing:

Halnana

Hana, girl

Halnana

Girl, girl

Girl, girl

Halnana…

And so on. The devil said to the man:

" How so ? your song has no end? "

The man responds:

This song is the Halnané, which precedes the Dalmane.

The devil sees he won't make it. He is sweating, his tongue hanging out, his paws trembling. He lets go and runs away, finally delivered from the man.
